When I tell people that I invest in real estate for a living the comment I hear the most is "I bet this real estate crisis has really killed your business." Isn't it amazing how the media can tell us what to think about real estate when logic clearly points the other direction? Wealth in real estate is made by owning property. Real Estate will always have value. No technological advance will ever make humans not need a place to live. The current "crisis" has made owning investment property easier because the lower prices have allowed investors to buy with little to no out of pocket expense. Another comment I hear about investing in real estate is "I've always wanted to do that." From the popular TV shows about fixing up homes to the stories of little old ladies that become millionaire landlords, just about everyone is familiar with the idea of making money in real estate.
